About the Job
We have been retained by the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center to hire its Chief Executive Officer. The CEO is the chief administrative officer for the Center, charged by the Board of Directors to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, and with responsibility for the development, implementation, and accountability for its programs. The CEO will work with the Board in the formulation of goals and objectives essential to the mission of the center and is responsible for the implementation of policies adopted by the Board.

- Recruits, employs, & supervises staff to include the monitoring of on-going performance and evaluation. Responsible for reviewing individual staff performance, staff promotion and staff retention in accordance with policies set by the Board.
- Plans and implements systematic and coordinated delivery of ambulatory health services for children and adults.
- Encourages and develops innovative programs within the Center to provide maximally effective and efficient services.
- Conducts the affairs of the Center within the budget adopted by the Board. Recommending modifications where appropriate. Keeps the Board informed of fiscal affairs and works with the internal auditor to ensure conformity to sanctioned systems and procedures.
- Develops long range fiscal planning, resource allocation/accountability for Center priorities, and develops the annual budget.
- Negotiates and executes all contracts for the program including labor agreements, back-up agreements with hospitals, lease agreements, etc.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations of DHHS, State Department of Health Codes, and New York City Department of Health Regulations.
- Implements program policy as set by the Board of Directors.
- Provides staff service to the Board of Directors and certain committees established by the Board.
- Assists in the development of the agenda, preparation of options for consideration, assembles data necessary to decision-making, and follows-up to ensure that decisions of the Board and committees are carried out.
- Serves as ex-officio member of Board of Directors.
- Represents the program within the community to government officials, legislators, civic groups, other health and human service agencies and private industry.
- Implements program policy as set by the Board of Directors.
- Provides staff service to the Board of Directors and certain committees established by the Board.
- Assists in the development of the agenda, preparation of options for consideration, assembles data necessary to decision-making, and follows-up to ensure that decisions of the Board and committees are carried out.
- Represents the program within the community to government officials, legislators, civic groups, other health and human service agencies and private industry.
- Report To: The Executive Director is appointed by and is under the general direction of the Board of Directors.
- Direct Reports: Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operation Officer, HR Director
- Masters degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or Public Administration from an accredited College or University.
- 8+ years of experience in health care administration and operations
- 5+ years of experience in direct supervision of staff.
- Experience in Community Health Center Programs (FQHC) preferred.
- Experience in budget development, implementation and accountability is preferred.
