Role Overview: As the Chief Executive Officer of this brand new collaborative non profit organization, the CEO’s role will involve strategic planning, fundraising, community engagement, and overseeing daily operations. This role will be responsible for setting the organization's direction, managing resources, building partnerships, and ensuring the mission is achieved effectively. Strong leadership, communication, and a passion for our cause is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate fundraising results, variances, and performance trends
Provide leadership to and manage the efforts of onsite and remote staff to ensure appropriate support of all departments
Create annual objectives and goals
Supervise the development of operations-based financial modeling
Coordinate and leads annual budget reviews, monthly and quarterly reviews, and periodic forecast updates available to present to the board appropriately
Build and maintain relationships with investors, funders, community partners and members
Ensure that services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives
Approve system implementations and improvements based on strategic planning
Retain and manage a diverse, highly qualified staff and volunteers by providing an uplifting work space at all times
Qualifications
10+ years in nonprofit management/leadership
Strong supervisory and project management skills and experience.
Strong organization and prioritization skills.
High level of initiative and desire to meet specific goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in developing strategies and plans
Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques
Strong computer skills, including Google Workspace, project management tools, CRM’s, etc.
Superior customer service skills to both internal and external audiences.
An analytical mind capable for ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking to solve problems
An eagerness to help implement sustainable business practices.
Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards.
Demonstrated empathetic disposition and positive attitude.
Travel as needed to represent the organization during various events and engagements
Eagerness to work as part of a team, both as a leader and in a supporting capacity, to expand the donor base and visibility of the organization.
Salary
$170K-$180K DOE
Candidates must be in the St Louis area or willing to relocate. Hybrid work environment.
