Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Lead and manage all day-to-day financial transactions, including payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, billing, and collections.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure integrity in financial reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and partner level financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the firm’s financial budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines to optimize cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Vendor Management: Develop and administer a vendor approval and payment process for operating and capital expenditures.
• Liaison Role: Serve as a financial liaison in negotiations for leases, bank relationships, loans, and credit lines.
• Compliance: Ensure timely payments and filings related to the firm’s retirement plans and tax obligations.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop the finance department staff, fostering a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications:

• Education: MA in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in finance within a law firm or professional services organization.
• Expertise: Proficient in GAAP standards, law firm financial metrics, and enterprise-level financial systems.
• Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, strong project management skills, and financial policy writing experience.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple high-level tasks and deadlines, promote accountability, and drive organizational cohesion.
