Despite their rapid expansion, they maintain a collaborative start-up culture while navigating the complexities of the public markets. They are seeking a seasoned and driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations, manage investor relations, and support strategic growth initiatives.
Position Overview:
The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including SEC filings, SOX compliance, and market strategies. The role involves securing financing through private funding and S1 offerings, maintaining a strong public-facing presence in investor relations, and leading financial operations in a small-cap environment. Effective communication skills are essential, particularly in crafting presentations and pitch decks to attract investors and foster growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and market expansion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage relationships with investors and financial institutions, focusing on capital-raising efforts and investor presentations.
- Oversee SEC reporting, including filings and regulatory compliance.
- Drive fundraising strategies, including private financing and public offerings, while supporting long-term financial planning.
- Lead the accounting function and ensure robust financial controls.
- Collaborate on strategic initiatives for market entry and product launches.
- Represent the company at shareholder meetings, investor presentations, and other public engagements.
- Provide leadership to the finance team, including senior reporting roles and audit coordination.
Required Experience:
- CPA certification and experience as a CFO.
- Background in public companies, particularly small-cap or high-growth environments.
- Proven experience in fundraising, including private and public financing.
- Strong skills in presentation and communication, particularly in investor relations.
- Solid accounting foundation, preferably from an operational perspective.
- Experience in leading companies through growth phases and public markets.
- Familiarity with go-to-market strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
