Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Sioux Falls, SD (Local candidates or open to relocation required)

Aladdin Capital, a fast-growing fintech company, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with 3-5 years of experience. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company. Our ideal candidate is a working leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and assist with daily financial operations, while also managing a small team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, audits, and compliance with industry regulations.

- Manage and mentor the controller and junior accountant, fostering their development and ensuring efficient financial operations.

- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior leadership on long-term financial growth and profitability.

- Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with other department leaders to optimize company financial performance.

 

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in financial leadership roles.

- Preference of at least 3 years of audit experience.

- Proven track record of managing and developing finance teams.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a growing organization with a smaller team.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

- Must be local to Sioux Falls, SD, or open to relocating.
