About the Job
The Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer / Clinical Integration / Population Health is responsible for the practice of Nursing at The Brooklyn Hospital Center by ensuring consistency in the standard of practice across the clinical settings. As a member of the TBHC senior management team, supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care. Creates a nursing environment in which collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care is promoted and achieved.
Provides strategic leadership in planning, directing and coordinating the hospital-wide integration and deployment of key clinical service lines. Works with each service line sponsor, and collaborates with physician leaders, executives and departmental management. Provides leadership for system-wide clinical, financial and business development for each service line, with operational responsibility for budget preparation and oversight of resource management. Partners with the hospital-wide leaders for business development for physician integration, collaborates on overall service line support needs. Collaborates with hospital leadership, physicians, departments and business units to implement and promote the population health program. Plans, organizes, and directs clinical transformation to assess and continually improve patient care delivery, clinical quality and efficiency. Oversees the effective blending of people, processes and technology to achieve clinical transformation across facilities, departments and clinical fields of expertise.
* Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
* Ten (10) years of combined nursing / clinical / administrative leadership experience, including executive level role in broad regional clinical service line program development and oversight.
* New York State Licensed Registered Nurse
* Demonstrated understanding of clinical practice.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate subordinates to achieve excellence and greater responsibility.
* Strong analytical capability, combined with excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbal presentations.
* Ability to provide strong team building skills and the capacity to promote collaboration, manage change and commitment to the philosophy and values of the Hospital.
* Excellent program planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize information.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
* Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
* Excellent problem solving skills,
* Ability to provide broad regional clinical service line program development and oversight
