The COO will oversee the day-to-day operations of New York Cosmetics, managing business processes across logistics, procurement, sales, and customer service. This leadership role requires optimizing operational efficiency, implementing growth strategies, and managing the company's supply chain to ensure timely delivery of cosmetics and skincare products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations including logistics, order fulfillment, inventory management, and product distribution to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, ensuring on-time product delivery, cost reduction, and product quality control.
- Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor operational teams, including sales, customer service, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel. Foster a high-performance culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the CEO and executive team to design and execute operational strategies that align with business goals, increase profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
- Vendor & Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure high-quality products and favorable terms. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that operations comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Proactively address risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and cost analysis for operations. Collaborate with the finance team to meet financial targets and drive cost-effective operations.
- Customer Experience: Oversee customer service teams to ensure optimal client satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner. Analyze customer feedback and improve service delivery.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology and operational tools to improve workflow and inventory management, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of operational leadership experience, preferably in wholesale distribution or related industries such as cosmetics, retail, or consumer goods.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and manage high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with a proven track record of improving business operations and implementing growth strategies.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain management, inventory systems, and logistics, with experience in optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, employees, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and other operational technologies. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding operational goals, improving processes, and driving growth.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $150,000 per year, based on experience.
- Performance-Based Bonus: Competitive incentive structure tied to operational milestones, growth targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
