Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Management:
Lead the design, planning, and execution of drinking water treatment projects, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables using tools like Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
Example: Oversee the development of a large-scale drinking water treatment facility, ensuring it meets EPA standards and regulatory requirements. - Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project status, risks, and financial performance. Ensure compliance with EPA and SDWA regulations, guiding clients through emerging standards.
Example: Lead client meetings on compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, focusing on emerging contaminants like PFAS. - Regulatory Compliance & Technical Expertise:
Ensure all projects comply with EPA, SDWA, and state-level regulations on PFAS, lead, and copper contamination.
Example: Implement systems that meet compliance with the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) under EPA guidelines. - Mentorship & Team Leadership:
Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and mentor junior engineers to foster technical excellence and ensure client satisfaction.
Example: Lead a team in delivering innovative water solutions while creating a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred. - Experience:
15-20 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering, with a focus on drinking water treatment and project management. - Licensure:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required. - Technical Skills:
Expertise in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, EPANET, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Project for water infrastructure project management. - Regulatory & Technical Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of drinking water regulations, with expertise in contaminants such as PFAS, lead, and disinfection byproducts.

Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred). Experience: 15-20 years in municipal water/wastewater engineering, with proven project management experience. Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas. Technical Skills: Expertise in drinking water treatment, distribution systems, and advanced water treatment processes. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams and presenting technical information clearly. Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with emerging water quality regulations, including PFAS and other contaminants. Active participation in professional associations with a track record of presenting technical papers.
