Child Care Teacher at JLS Education Group

Job Summary:
Under the guidance of BFA's Administrative Staff, the teacher is responsible for fostering an environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children in their assigned class. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with children and parents. The teacher will work as part of a team, contributing to the development of imaginative lesson plans aligned with BFA's Circle of Care core values. Collaboration with peers, administrative staff, parents, and external care providers is essential.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• Full-time (40 hours) or Part-time (20 hours) available
• 8 hour shift;4 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education, Experience, and Training:

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in early childhood education or related fields is preferred, but not required.
• Associate's, Bachelor's degree, or CDA in early childhood education is a plus.
• Certification in CPR & First Aid is required or must be obtained within three months of employment.

Work Location:

• On-site: Columbus, Ohio 43228
• Must have reliable transportation for commuting

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods during an 8-hour shift to engage with children.
• Frequently required to bend, reach, and lift toys and supplies, and to lift up to 15-30 lbs regularly.
• Ability to kneel or crouch frequently to interact with children at their level.
