Job Type: Part-time Hourly, Non-exempt
Schedule: 9:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday
Reports to: Department Manager
DAAC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Caregiver to provide nurturing support to children of chemically dependent mothers in our Perinatal Day Treatment program. The ideal candidate will promote healthy development and well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide child development support and supervision.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks.
- Maintain Daycare room safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Assist with office duties and coordinate food services.
- Maintain professional boundaries and productive work relationships.
- Ensure compliance with agency rules, policies, and licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- Appropriate licensing, certification, and training in child development.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain productive relationships and professional boundaries.
- Effective judgment in crisis situations and problem-solving skills.
- Clear speaking voice and accurate vision and hearing.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Digital manipulation skills for computer use.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and meet physical requirements for a Class B California Driver’s License.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
