The Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) is currently recruiting for multiple Child Support Enforcement Specialist 1’s to fill full-time permanent positions in our Anchorage office.

What you will be doing:
The mission of the Child Support Enforcement Division is to collect and disburse child support payments. We strive to ensure children receive their support through cooperation, collaboration, and innovation to drive our success with the communities, partners, and families we serve.
The Child Support Specialist 1 represent the full working professional level involved as a team member in the establishment, modification, and/or collection of child support. Under general supervision, as a member of the customer service center or a case management team, this position determines, performs, or directs the performance of required actions in case preparation and investigation to collect court-ordered or administratively determined child support payments from responsible parents, to determine paternity, to establish child support orders and to maintain quality customer service.

This position requires in-person training, and office presence is required.
Whom we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully perform the following key job tasks:
- Conducting interviews and performing in-depth reviews of court and administrative child support orders.
- Calculating monthly child support obligations.
- Interpreting and applying program rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and effectively communicating program information and requirements in precise and understandable terms, both verbally and in writing.
- Analyzing household income documents (including tax returns, pay stubs, and employer reports) and expenses, and enforcing the collection of payments on delinquent or past-due accounts.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 gross words per minute with an accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
