The Childcare and Activities Assistant Manager will support a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. This role involves organizing and facilitating engaging creative, athletic, and educational activities. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Word are essential, as well as the ability to assist with daily operations and maintain accurate records. Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist childcare staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children.
- Create a positive and supportive atmosphere for members, guests, parents, and children.
- Ensure proper paperwork for each child is completed and up-to-date, including allergy information.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and program policies.
- Follow parental instructions and special requests in accordance with program policies and regulations.
- Check voicemail upon arrival and promptly return calls.
- Provide information about policies, procedures, and programming to customers in a professional manner.
- Plan and conduct a variety of educational and engaging activities for children.
- Maintain constant supervision of children, using daily sign-in/out sheets and regular headcounts.
- Charge daily tickets and handle revenue collected according to procedures.
- Check email daily and communicate relevant messages to coworkers.
- Log off the computer at the end of each day.
- Mentor and train new team members on policies, procedures, and ticketing processes.
- Communicate important information about children to coworkers at shift changes.
- Provide honest and positive communication with parents about their children's experiences while ensuring confidentiality.
- Relay important parent information to the Childcare Program Director/Activities Manager.
- Participate in planning and implementing engaging activities for both morning and afternoon sessions.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding staffing and operational needs.
- Follow Boar's Head Resort Handbook policies and procedures.
- Perform opening and closing duties daily and check out with the childcare supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, daily attendance, and child care.
- Treat all colleagues with respect and professionalism.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
- Maintain organized cubby areas, including labeling and sanitizing toys.
- Contribute to room decoration and organization.
- Create and display signage for upcoming events.
