About the Job
Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced childcare provider to join our teaching team.
The ideal candidates will have two+ years of experience working with young children (ages 1-3 years), be a team player, and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education. Candidates must qualify as Assistant Group Supervisors with DHS to be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities.
- Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for infants, toddlers & preschoolers.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
- Assist students with person care routines as needed.
Qualifications:
- Have two years of experience working with children (2500 hours).
- Must qualify as an Assistant Group Supervisor or higher with the Dept. of Human Services.
- Preferably have a CDA or going to school for Early Childhood Education.
- Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
- A love for children and a desire to work with toddlers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- Bilingual a plus.
Position Overview:
- This is a full-time position, but Bright Light full-time staff work a 4-day work week!
- The pay range starts at $16.50 up to $18 (relative to experience & education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance at the end of a 90-day probation period.
- Full-time staff also receive paid holidays & PTO, sick pay, annual raises, reduced child care & more.
