This is a 20 hour per week salary position. The majority of the working hours required will be on Wednesday to direct Awana Ministry and Sunday for Children’s church and Sunday school. Additional office time for planning and organizing events outside of Wednesday and Sunday is expected. Availability for extra events, such as fall festival, VBS, family focused church events, ect is required.
New Hope offers a flexible work environment with a salary for this position ranging from $15,360 to $19,200 based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:
- Disciple children to learn the Word of God by sharing scripture, lessons, and memorization, ect.
- Setup and teardown all rooms used for Sunday School, Children's church and nursery and AWANA.
- Maintain contact and share resources with adult leaders and parents.
- Buy supplies for all children's events and activities
- Train all volunteers and maintain valid background checks.
- Plan and lead special events for children and families including fall festival, VBS, Christmas program, ect.
- Regularly post articles and events on Facebook to stay connected on social media.
- Wash linens used in nurseries.
- Prepare and teach monthly children's moments during Sunday service.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children and/or teaching.
- Ability to work as a team with other church employees and leadership
- Excellent leadership, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to come alongside to support and minister to parents and families along with other members of the church as needed.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in teaching and/or ministry preferred, but not required.
- Basic computer skills required, familiarity working with ProPresenter and other Apple programs nice-to-have, but not required.
