$65,000 - $100,000 + Bonus

YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
The Head Chef/Sous Chef is responsible for overseeing all back of house operations. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Promote and instill a hospitality mentality within employees based on company standards/values
- Develop and enforce a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and
- Assist chef for continual profitability of the restaurant, develop and maintain kitchen budget
- Perform duties of ordering, receiving, scheduling, and monthly BOH inventory
- Plan and conduct BOH staff training program
- Maintain preventative maintenance service programs for all restaurant equipment facilities
- Communicate with restaurant managers to ensure food quality and maximum guest satisfaction
- Ensure quality of delivery and receiving of all products according to set policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all vendors
- Assist chef to monitor and daily review of current inventory, ordering, and staffing
- Review, report product shortage, staffing problems and operational inefficiencies on BOH log
- Counsel, discipline, and evaluate employees when necessary
- Monitor daily and weekly reservations and communicate with BOH employees
- Ensure all BOH job duties are done in a timely manner by following daily station/position task list
- Provide input on seasonal menus, specials, and promotional menus
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 2+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a $2M+ upscale restaurant
- Leader with strong wok cooking experience required
- Must be able to speak some English
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin required
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate, energetic, detail oriented, and a passion for hospitality
