About the Job
This position is responsible for all patients that are seen in this office. Must demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude and work well with the practice's providers, administrator, staff and patients when dealing with scheduling problems and patient problems, etc.

DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for bringing all patients backand putting them in the appropriate rooms.
- Responsible for getting all necessary informationthat the provider requests together before the patient is seen.
- Faxingall necessary information to referring providers when requested.
- Responsible for making sure exam rooms all always in neat and clean order.Wipe down exam tables and replace any supplies that may be needed weekly. Remember supplies are only ordered that last week of the month no exceptions.
- Taking out garbage dailyfrom exam rooms.
- Assistproviders in the back when needed.
- Call patients that need follow-up appointmentson Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Make sure all scanningis done by the end of the day.
- Walking all patients to the front desk after each appointment and telling the front desk the necessary next steps for the patient
- Responsible for faxing out Medical Records Requests
- Send Monthly Supply orders to Supervisor
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify any medical records errors and communicate them to the appropriate people.
- Prioritizeyour work so the most important work is completed first. Have flexibility in time scheduling.
- Must dress in a professional manner, and project a positive imageand attitude for The Medical Group of South Florida always.
- Must cooperate and communicate well with all providers, administrator, employees and patients
- Must always contribute important information to appropriate person and maintain an open-minded attitude.
- Must maintain a steady and productive workplace
- Must make sure that all data should be made with less than a 2% error rate.
- Must always demonstrate good judgmentwhen dealing with sensitive issues and observe all policies regarding confidentiality and HIPAA rules.
- Must perform other duties as assignedto you that may not be part of your job description
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum Education: Minimum Experience:
Required Course(s) Training: preferred
Preferred Experience:
- High School or equivalent, helpful but not necessary.
- 2 years Medical/ Chiro Assisting experience preferred
- Medical practice environment and Medical Assisting
- 2-5 years preferred
