Summary:
Idaho Correctional Industries is currently recruiting for a Sales Representative. This position is outside sales and will be based out of the Boise, Idaho office and may consist of some travel outside of this area. The ICI Sales Representative develops and services customers throughout the Boise valley and surrounding areas featuring a large variety of items made in the ICI Training Program. This base plus commission position requires a proven self-motivated and customer service focused person.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all assigned accounts, develops and establishes new accounts, follows up on leads generating new customers and identifies and pursues potential new business opportunities.
- Manage client accounts to ensure all product orders deliver a positive return on investment (ROI) to secure long-term sustainability of the purchasing relationship.
- Develop creative approaches for growing the organization profitability through providing solutions to management.
- Consistently reviews product sales potential to plan and develop contingencies for shift to customer needs.
- Maintain awareness of competitors' products and services to develop strategic approaches to sales and marketing a of ICI products.
- Enter and maintains customer files in Global Shop, our ERP system.
- Handle all customer issues while maintaining profitability and generating new business from new and existing accounts.
- Review and negotiates pricing and terms, adhering to defined limits regarding margins, exposure and liability, and to maximize company profits.
- Generate trip summaries, forecasts of booking and shipments by customer and product line, and monthly sales activity reports.
- Report sales prospects, quotations activity and bookings probability.
- Participate in ICI master schedule and weekly update meetings.
- Provide input on customer issues regarding qualify, delivery, pen quotes and projects PO's.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with other ICI staff to ensure effective and efficient operations and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working in a sales environment establishing and maintaining sales accounts. Typically gained by professional experience in sales or marketing where you made business contacts or sales calls, and developed business relationships. Please include if your professional experience is with an economic development organization (public or private) and any additional experience and/or responsibilities you had, as this may increase your score.
- Knowledge of brands, values, positioning, and target consumers. Typically gained by using the factors of Research, Social Media Influence and Identity and Preference.
- Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret technical information, financial reports and legal documents. Typically gained by actual work experience in performing these duties. Creating quotes and proofs, understanding customer and supplier specification.
- Experience using a computer to include Word, Outlook, and sales force automation software programs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Global Shop software.
- Experience with website design and web-based sales.
