Position Overview:
As a Circulator RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care during surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring patient safety and coordinating care within the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care provided and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Monitor surgical asepsis and sterile technique, preparing and positioning patients for procedures.
- Ensure all equipment, supplies, and instrumentation are validated and present prior to procedures.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing appropriate education throughout the perioperative process.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Assess and care for surgical patients throughout the intraoperative process, assisting with preoperative preparation and postoperative care.
- Operate specialized equipment and maintain a safe surgical environment.
Qualifications:
- Circulator experience (only candidates with circulator experience will be interviewed).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) validated by an active Kentucky RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be able to take call as needed.
