About the Job
Join our Technology & Innovation team dedicated to achieving a more interconnected, livable world. We are seeking a Solutions Analyst to join our Asset Management practice in delivering business and technology solutions to our state and municipal clients. You will be implementing software and processes in the state/local government markets to support our local and state government clients in the management of their physical infrastructure including water systems, transportation, parks, fleet, facilities, and municipal services. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with teams to solve problems, who take ownership of tasks, and who are willing to ask questions and guide successful outcomes.
In this role, you will be working directly with our clients as part of the project team and be involved in all phases of the implementation including business planning, workflow diagramming, software configuration, testing, documentation, training, and go-live support.
The selected candidate will have a breadth of technological acumen but be able to articulate and communicate with a non-technical audience. The candidate must also have the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work with a diverse team.
Remote/in-office schedule is flexible.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other:As a Solutions Analyst, you will:
- Review specifications
- Develop prototypes
- Design, configure, develop, test and deploy hardware and software solutions in a logical, creative, and structured manner that meet customer requirements
- Collaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to implement compelling solutions
- Support training of customers
- Work independently and in a team setting on projects to successful completion
- Deliver technology solutions/services within the allocated budget
- Provide thorough technical support to customers
- Develop technical documentation
- Stay current on latest technologies and methods
- Regularly interact and build relationships with team members
- Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
- Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as required/assigned
Specialized Experience:
- Aptitude for analyzing and documenting business processes.
- Expertise in the implementation planning, configuration, testing, and training of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Cityworks, Lucity, Maximo, VUEWorks, Cartegraph, or other modern-day solutions preferred.
- Knowledge of Esri cloud, desktop, web and mobile product lines preferred.
- Data extraction and reporting including knowledge of SQL, Python, or other query languages
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Team player with demonstrated experience working constructively on multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables without excessive oversight and instruction
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
- Minimum one year of experience working with databases or configurable software; education and internships may substitute for experience
- Knowledge of utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with software development and systems engineering is preferred
- Knowledgeable of APIs, distributed backend systems, dimensional data modeling, SQL queries and schema design is preferred
- Experience with cloud technologies is preferred
- Demonstrated experience to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems
- Ability to develop and maintain deep knowledge of customers, data, business, and markets
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with colleagues and customers, both written and oral
