Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in civil construction inspection, preferably with experience working with public agencies, municipalities, and general contractors. This role requires the ability to review and interpret engineering design plans, conduct thorough inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily construction inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Review and interpret engineering design plans and specifications.
- Document construction activities, including any deviations from plans and corrective actions taken.
- Conduct material testing and verification to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and progress updates.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and public agency representatives to address any issues or concerns.
- Attending pre-construction meetings and site visits as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- 1-2 years of experience in civil construction inspection.
- Experience working with public agencies, municipalities, and general contractors.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering design plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in construction inspection or related field.
- Familiarity with construction materials testing procedures.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
Salary range for position: $25/hr - $33/hr
