DBA Construction, Inc. is a successful heavy civil contractor that has been in business since 1996 providing services throughout Arizona and the Greater Southwest region with a broad range of experience and expertise in heavy highway construction, streets, concrete flatwork, concrete structures, earthwork, bridge, and wet utilities.
- Must possess extensive experience with heavy civil construction, form setting, concrete pours both quantity and quality.
- Attend pre-construction walk-through with the project manager to establish scope understanding and job limits.
- Study and understand plans, specifications, and project details.
- Further develop work plans as necessary to incorporate with construction.
- Review, analyze and discuss estimate and building methods with estimators and project manager.
- Offer suggestions for value added ideas at the field level.
- Calculate quantities and dimensions to ensure accuracy of estimated budget and schedule prior to performing work and as work is performed.
- Complete 3-week schedules.
- Provide input and updates to overall schedule and discuss any conflicts of change of scope with project manager as they arise.
- Schedule and manage equipment and crews needs with project manager and support staff throughout the duration of the project.
- Report any mechanical, maintenance and staffing issues as necessary.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings with crew and discuss Job Hazard Analysis for the day.
- Supervise multiple construction crews, subcontractors and suppliers to assure proper inspections and quality control for any materials delivered and work performed on all projects.
- Adhere to company and industry specific safety standards in order to provide the highest level of safety to all workers and community members affected by our working environment.
- Verify subcontractors/suppliers are briefed on and adhere to DBA quality and safety standards.
- Assist Human Resources with individual performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, timesheets, etc. and complete timely submission to appropriate team members and support staff.
- Review daily crew members' timesheets and compare to job codes for accuracy prior to submission for payroll Review.
- Analyze the progression of project information including measurements, quantities and cost reports, make final calculations and discuss with project manager upon completion.
- Attend final punch list walkthrough with owner and project manager.
- Civil Construction knowledge with curbs, gutters, sidewalks, valley gutters, bridges, ADA ramps, dirt work, underground, and punch lists.
- Three to Five years' experience as a superintendent in civil construction.
- Mentor and teach upcoming craft workers.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
- Attention to detail and follow directions.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Steel boots are required.
- Strictly adheres to safety requirements and procedures.
