Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Understand engineering concepts used in land development.
- Create engineering drawings, pipe networks, and corridors.
- Grading experience on subdivision, commercial and retail sites.
- Create drainage studies for projects, perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
- Erosion control design and write stormwater management plan.
- Perform roadway design.
- Water and sanitary sewer layout.
- Create utility study
Design Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant technical degree.
- Engineer in Training Certification Required.
- 3-5 years preferred but not required.
- Civil 3D Required.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work with others and communicate.
- Ability to talk to clients or government agencies.
- Ability to teach other staff.
- Ability to read Construction Plans.
