Overview:
The position of Civil EIT or PE specializing in Water/Wastewater is crucial to our organization's infrastructure projects. The individual will play a key role in designing, managing, and implementing water and wastewater systems that are essential for public health and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting site investigations and feasibility studies for water and wastewater projects
Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, reports, and design drawings
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project plans
Performing hydraulic analysis and modeling for water distribution and wastewater collection systems
Ensuring projects comply with regulatory standards and environmental regulations
Managing construction activities and providing technical support during the construction phase
Conducting quality control and assurance checks on engineering deliverables
Participating in client meetings and effectively communicating project progress and recommendations
Providing support in the development and review of project budgets and schedules
Assisting in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects
Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices
Monitoring industry developments and incorporating best practices into project designs
Preparing and reviewing project documentation and maintaining accurate records
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations throughout project lifecycles
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of water and wastewater systems
Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, EPANET, and WaterCAD
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental standards for water/wastewater projects
Proven experience in project management and delivering projects within budget and schedule constraints
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client interaction
Ability to perform hydraulic analysis and modeling for water distribution and wastewater collection systems
Knowledge of construction practices and ability to provide technical support during the construction phase
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities for engineering challenges
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with industry trends and willingness to continuously enhance technical knowledge
Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to engineering projects
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate project documentation
