Position: Civil Engineer (8+ Years)
Overview: Our dynamic office is actively seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with eight or more years of experience specializing in site design, grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, roadway projects, and erosion control measures. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our Civil Engineering Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consulting services to both internal and external clients, employing advanced Civil/Site Engineering skills such as site grading analysis, earthwork calculations, drainage design, utility layout, erosion control design, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead project teams comprised of junior and experienced engineers to efficiently deliver project design outcomes from preliminary stages to final implementation.
- Conduct thorough site due diligence investigations and entitlement assessments, producing comprehensive reports to inform project development.
- Perform field inspections of existing stormwater facilities and review field data to ensure project compliance and quality assurance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, design specifications, and permitting applications, showcasing strong technical writing skills.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other Civil Engineering software applications proficiently to develop accurate design documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with external consultants, including architects, owners, and engineers, to coordinate drawings and design efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, demonstrating expertise in site grading, earthwork calculations, road design, drainage, utility layout, technical report writing, and cost estimating.
- Experience in leading internal project teams in the development of construction documents for site development projects.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant Civil Engineering software applications.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills, with a commitment to meeting project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
