We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and motivated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our thriving Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land development, expertise in Civil 3D, erosion control, and other facets of civil engineering. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, shaping the built environment for the community's future. The candidate will have the chance to work in a collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking team environment, contributing to the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop civil engineering projects, focusing on land development, while adhering to established codes and regulations.
2. Utilize Civil 3D software for designing and modeling purposes, ensuring accurate and efficient project completion.
3. Implement erosion control measures in all relevant projects, ensuring environmental sustainability.
4. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, communicating effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects.
5. Conduct site inspections and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other), ensuring all projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
6. Manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
7. Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
2. Minimum 7+ years of experience in the field of civil engineering with a focus on land development.
3. Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant software.
4. Proven experience in erosion control and a strong understanding of environmental considerations in civil engineering projects.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
7. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work.
