Civil engineering project managers are professionals who oversee large construction projects. They often work on multiple projects simultaneously, and their job requires them to be physically fit and active to carry construction materials on site.
CIVIL ENGINEER - / Senior Infrastructure Project Manager
- Lead engineering planning, analysis, and design efforts.
- Manage project scope, proposals, design, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills in engineering analysis and design.
- Provide technical leadership on projects.
- Engage in client communications, particularly during design phases.
- Perform as a technical specialist or task manager on medium to large projects.
- Serve as point of contact for projects across various market sectors.
- Ensure successful completion and delivery of assigned tasks/projects.
- Maintain client confidence by meeting project goals within contract parameters.
- Apply engineering principles, design specifications, and regulatory standards to develop plans and specifications.
- Prepare and review plans, making key decisions on layouts, designs, quantities, and clearances.
- Assist the marketing department in pursuing new projects.
- Prepare bid packages as required by clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Missouri (KS registration preferred).
- Proven experience with a variety of municipal engineering projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Experience with Civil3D, GeoPAK, and ArcGIS is a plus.
