PROJECT MANAGER (Land Development) - DENVER, CO

SUMMARY:
This role of Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of Land Development project(s). He/She will be accountable for project performance, ensuring quality control on deliverables, and maintaining client relationships in addition to actively pursuing Marketing and Business Development opportunities. This role reports to the Land Development Practice Leader.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Participate in the execution of Company strategic initiatives.
- Represent the Company at industry events and conferences.
- Participate in new project interviews.
- Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules and fee proposals.
- Assemble project teams (sub-consultants, internal staff) for pursuits.
- Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects.
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including: clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resources.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project deliverables.
- Provide clarification and direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principles.
- Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment.
- Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in the career development of staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a strong commitment to the Values of the Company. He/She will have the ability to manage complex and high value projects, manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality of effectiveness, make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the Company, and be able to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining a high level of quality. This candidate will also have proven negotiating skills with the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contracts, effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and clients.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a Bechelor's Degree Civil Engineering, from an accredited college.
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado OR be able to obtain a Colorado PE license within 6 months of employment.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Land Development.
- Minimum 7-15 years of Project Management experience.
