Leidos is seeking a Civil Engineering Supervisor to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program, providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Approximately 25% travel.
Approximately 25% telework.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide supervision for a team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments, ensuring work requested under the task order is performed properly and within the prescribed time and budget constraints negotiated between the Contractor and the Government.
- Direct supervision of personnel including, hiring, promotion, and termination authority within areas of responsibility, in conjunction with senior manager review and approval.
- Provide timecard management and guidance for assigned staff.
- Maintain frequent interface and communication with manager, FAA personnel, and other contractor personnel.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, establish project schedules, and project estimates.
- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines through to completion while working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Will work with multiple disciplines as applied to general requirements as typical for standard types of engineering projects.
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of construction-related punch-list items.
- Effectively communicate in written and verbal form. Provide well-organized documentation.
- Discuss project-related items with stakeholders, contractors, and code related Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Suggest ways to further improve the efficiency of the UIS Program’s operations.
- Assist in the creation, review, and revisions of documents owned and/or managed by the UIS Program.
- Develop, administer, operate, maintain, repair, modify, and enhance the UIS Program’s KSN site in accordance with a prioritized activity list provided and periodically updated by the GTI.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to implement Operational Risk Management, including development and submission of Project Risk Plans in the CWP.
- Monitor the construction of UIS projects, including coordination with stakeholders to refine Operational Risk Management Plan (ORMP) activities.
- Monitor the construction of Long-Range Radar (LRR) projects, including coordination with stakeholders to refine Operational Risk Management Plan (ORMP) activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Civil Engineering degree from a 4-year ABET-accredited College/University with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Prior supervisory experience with multiple personnel and projects.
- Relevant experience should include experience designing shelter replacements, road improvements, roofing replacements, facility structural improvements, and facility modernization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications, as well as be able to use the Internet as an information gathering and communications tool.
- Proficiency with AUTOCAD / MICROSTATION.
- Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs. and completing physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to be used in responding to technical questions and performing program presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience for/with the FAA is highly preferred.
- Prior work experience with US government managers, employees, and programs.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
