Civil Litigation Legal Assistant - Robert Half

Description We are in search of a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our office in Downtown Seattle. This role primarily involves providing legal support for attorneys who are focused on Insurance Defense Litigation. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling scheduling, e-filing, and multitasking. Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents to support ongoing litigation cases. - Manage scheduling of court dates, meetings, and deadlines. - Efficiently handle e-filing tasks in line with legal procedures and guidelines. - Coordinate and maintain effective communication with clients, attorneys, and court officials. - Ensure all legal documents and data are correctly filed and organized. - Utilize legal software to keep track of case progress and important dates. - Conduct legal research to support case preparation and proceedings. - Draft and proofread legal correspondence and documents. - Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment. - Provide general administrative support to the legal team as required. Requirements - Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Civil Litigation - Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing - Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and legal software - Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Must have a strong understanding of legal terminology and court system - Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
