Civil Litigation Paralegal at Khavari & Moghadassi, Attorneys At Law, P.C.

We’re hiring a civil litigation paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing and responding to discovery requests, drafting and filing motions, coordinating other day-to-day case activities, maintaining communication with clients, and conducting limited legal research. $50,000 - $60,000 yearly

• Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
• Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
• Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
• Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues

• Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
• Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
• At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
• Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
