About the Job
Maxwell-Reddick and Associates, a Pape-Dawson Company, is seeking a full-time Civil Project Engineer based in our Alpharetta, GA office. This position is responsible for assisting or leading civil site project design and production, client coordination and communication, stormwater management design, and permitting on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. The Civil Project Engineer will collaborate in-house with licensed civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors to assist our clients in developing commercial and residential projects in the public and private sectors. Responsibilities
Assist a Project Manager in the production of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements and cost
Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project’s purpose and need
Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company format
Direct production work of engineering technicians
Additional related duties as needed
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
3-6+ years of professional experience in site design
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
Experience with entitlements and permitting for local jurisdictions
Effective oral and written communication
Georgia EI/EIT or ability to achieve by reciprocity
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Metro Atlanta jurisdictions, including entitlements and zoning along with permitting processes and procedures
GSWCC Level 2 Certification or ability to achieve within six months
