A leading Civil General Contractor is actively seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join their team. Applicable project experience for this Project Manager position includes a work history in Heavy Highway, Bridges, asphalt/paving, earthwork, sitework, excavating, underground utilities, etc.
Qualifications for Civil Project Manager
- 5-10 Years of Heavy Civil Construction Project Managing Experience.
- Prior knowledge of Heavy Highway, Bridges, Asphalt/Paving, Earthwork, Sitework, Excavating, Underground Utilities, Marine, Rail, and Dams.
- Demonstrated Success Managing Laborers, Subcontractors and Developing and Executing Innovative Project Changes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Related Field a Plus.
- Self-Performing Experience a Plus
- Clean Driving Record
Job Description
- Lead and Enforce Safety Policies and Procedures, and Address Non-Compliance Among all Employees, Subcontractors and Vendors.
- Utilizes Daily Meetings to Promote Communication, Resolve Issues and Share Ideas, so Projects are Correct and on Time.
- Develop the Project Schedule with the Superintendent and Ensure the Plan to Being Followed.
- Adhere to the Project Invoice Schedule.
- Ensure Team Documents and Submits all Receivables, Quantity as-Builts, Change Orders and Claims.
- Work to Reduce Labor and Cost Budget.
- Ensures Subcontractors Execute to the Agreement of the Company’s Standards.
- Receive Required Documentation in a timely Manner.
- Estimate, Price and Negotiate Owner Initiated Extra Work, Change of Scope Items, and Contract Deletions to Maximize Profits.
