Join us. **Job Description** AECOM's Transportation Business Line is seeking a Civil Transportation / Pavement Engineer to join their team in either Chelmsford, MA or Chicago, IL. **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:** + Perform project and/or task management of projects including management of staff engineers, schedules and budgets. + Perform pavement engineering report writing and review. + Apply management experience, including roadways, airfield, and facilities for public or private clients. + Utilize MicroPAVER and/or other pavement management software. + Utilize pavement design software COMFAA, FAARFIELD, PAVEXPRESS, DARWIN and PCASE + Utilize AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS. + Perform pavement design for roadways in accordance with AASHTO, FHWA and Department of Defense design standards. + Perform airfield pavement design in accordance with FAA and Department of Defense standards. + Perform Pavement Condition Index surveys in accordance with ASTM standards. + Manage pavement data collection using Falling Weight Deflectometers (FWD), Video Vans, and High-Speed Inertial Profilers. + Perform evaluation of FWD and riding quality data for pavement management or design. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field with two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Experience performing pavement engineering and design. + Due to nature of work involved, US Citizenship is required. + Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnights and weekends, as needed for project. + Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 4 years of pavement engineering and design experience. + EIT Certification. + Experience in using the following software: MicroPAVER, COMFAA, FAARFIELD, PAVEXPRESS, DARWIN and PCASE, AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS. **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position. + Sponsorship is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
