A global leader in the design and manufacturing of severe service valves is seeking a Clad Welder / Hand Welder to perform welding, cutting, and brazing tasks on various parts. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in welding and is skilled in weld procedures. Working with minimal supervision, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by delivering high-quality welds, adhering to safety protocols, and meeting production goals in alignment with quality control standards.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: 1ST Day Shift: 6:00AM-6:00PM Monday-Thursday
2ND Shift Night: 6:00PM-6:00AM Monday-Thursday ($1.50 Pay Differential)
3rd Shift Weekend: 6:00AM6:30PM Friday-Sunday (36 hours) ($3.50 Pay Differential)

Responsibilities:
- Perform welding (GTAW-Pulsed, GTAW-Hot Wire, GTAW, FCAW) cutting, brazing, thermal treatment to valves and parts in accordance with established production and quality control guidelines.
- Perform required welding to parts for assembly and testing.
- Ability to pass a Clad Weld Test (4-6 inch pipe test on TIG) or Hand Weld Test (Open root roll out pipe test on TIG)
Requirements:
- High School degree required; technical courses preferred
- Certified Welder
- Minimum of 5 years welding, cutting, brazing experience
- Minimum of 5 years using compact cladders (ARC 5, Fronius) or Minimum of 5 years TIG Welding experience
- Must be able to read and follow weld procedures and pass a 6 G GTAW/FCAW weld test
- Familiar with the safe operation of welding and cutting equipment and gas equipment
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
- Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
- Exhibit a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
- Work well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to read and interpret weld drawings
