This role processes non-complex, non-technical claim-related activities within established quality, productivity, and process standards on specific losses as directed by management or a claim adjuster. The individual handles a single line of claims or a combination of claims from different segments. The individual is also expected to deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention.
Responsibilities
+ Perform clerical duties, including data entry, filing paper documents, email, calendar management, and word processing.
+ Handle claim files by locating, requesting, filing paperwork, reconstructing missing files, moving misfiled documents, and sending them to other offices.
+ Retrieve, print, fax, or mail supporting documentation to vendors or other parties.
+ Receive, screen, and route incoming telephone calls and other electronic correspondence.
+ Generate and send appropriate forms to insured/claimants for completion.
+ Complete all necessary forms, log documents into the system, and route them to the appropriate parties.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of claims adjusting experience.
+ Experience with auto insurance claims.
+ Knowledge of NJ PIP Laws.
+ Good organization skills with timely follow-up.
+ Good oral and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ College degree or equivalent experience.
+ Previous experience in customer service and/or a related professional work environment is preferred.
Work Environment
The work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. The role involves working in an office setting and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
