Claims Adjuster (Worker's Compensation)
Duration: 3 Month Contract
Location: Fully Remote
Company is seeking a remote Claims Adjuster to manage medical and indemnity benefits for injury and occupational disease claims in Iowa and Indiana. This is a 40-hour per week, Monday to Friday role on a 3 month contract. Candidates must have 5-10 years of experience handling lost time workers' compensation claims in Iowa and Indiana as a requirement. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and establish action plans for claims.
- Conduct interviews, take recorded statements, and make informed decisions.
- Manage eligibility and reserve values for indemnity and medical benefits.
- Collaborate with supervisors on complex claims and actively pursue subrogation when possible.
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims, ensuring fair and prompt resolutions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all parties involved in claims management.
- 5-10 years of claims handling experience specific to Iowa and Indiana.
- Strong knowledge of claims management best practices and relevant laws.
- Ability to work independently, use judgment effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Background and drug screening required prior to onboarding.
