About the Job
Manages a team of Claims Representatives handling first notice of loss intake, customer service delivery, first party single vehicle automobile accidents with no injuries, comprehensive claims, hail losses and partial thefts in multiple states. Assigns work, establishes priorities, tracks productivity, conducts regular quality reviews, and monitors workflow within the unit to ensure compliance of internal claims procedures, external regulatory requirements, and corporate goals. Manages customer complaints/satisfaction, expense controls, and monitors loss cost objectives.
Responsibilities:- Staff Management: Recruits, selects, and trains employees to meet department objectives. Establishes performance goals, expectations and monitors those results. Provides performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action, as needed. Identifies and assists with specific training needs of each Claims Representative.
- Claims File Review/Handling: Reviews claims files for compliance with all external regulations and internal procedures. Coaches Claims Representatives as needed. Performs call quality audits regularly. Responds to DOI complaints when required.
- Customer Service: Resolves escalated customer complaints/issues requiring a higher level of knowledge. Responds to DOI complaints as needed. Audits and verifies records, reports, and practices to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Other duties as required: Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.
Business Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in personal lines property & casualty claims.
- 2+ years supervisory experience in personal lines claims environment or related mentoring/coaching/training/leadership experience
Certifications
- Insurance designations such as AIC, FCLA, CIFI, CSRP, SCLA or CPCU - Preferred
Education:
- BA/BS Preferred
Other Requirements:
- For this position we offer a flexible schedule within the department operating hours of 8:00 am to 6:30 pm MT, with collaborating hours between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm MT.
- Colorado Springs Service center is preferred but will consider remote candidates
The pay range for this position is $78,021 - $121,326 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company’s performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal holidays.
