Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate of $30.00 per hour with overtime at $35.00 per hour plus OT @ 1.5X base pay

About the opportunity
In this position, you’ll join a highly experienced team of certified professionals who are known for their ability to remove enormous trees using large cranes and equipment. Your role will include operating the equipment needed to move the trees to their next destination where they are recycled; turned into slabs, chips, mulch, dimensional lumber, or heat energy.
The person who fills this position must be someone who enjoys being a driver, and who has a history of working safely. He/She/They will work alongside our Foremen on a wide variety of commercial and residential tree removal projects as well as operate heavy equipment at multiple yards in the East Bay. For this reason, our next driver will be physically fit and able to climb in/around her/his truck and a variety of extremely heavy equipment.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including:In this position, you’ll join a highly experienced team of certified professionals who are known for their ability to remove enormous trees using large cranes and equipment. Your Responsibilities Include
- Driving a commercial, 18-wheeler, truck around the greater Bay Area
- Operating heavy equipment for a Crew Supervisor who directs each day's efforts
- Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
- Other driving-related projects as they arise
Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- PHYSICALLY FIT and ABLE TO CLIMB INSIDE, ONTO or AROUND an 18-wheeler, or larger vehicle**.
- Two or more years of heavy-duty commercial truck driving experience
- Willingness to assist with projects at the job site once you arrive, as needed
- Clean and current California Driver's Class-A License
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- **Physically fit; able to climb up into the vehicles and/or machines; able to move around inside an 18-wheeler, able to pull your body weight into
- A proven record of safely doing you job efficiently
- The standard stuff: Communication (accurate written, and verbal), time management, problem solving, being able to take notes on your phone, and being able to work an 8-hour shift without using your phone for non-work purposes (except at lunch and break), willing to get dirty on a daily basis.
- Soft skills: The ability to lead by example, being extremely hardworking, being emotionally intelligent (having the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.)
- Bonus points for certifications or coursework related to driving heavy equipment, trucks, safety, etc.
- Bonus points for having stayed in your last driving role for more than a year

- Experienced drivers seeking a long-term position that’s close to home; within a 40 minute drive of your home. Preference will be given to folks who live in Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito, Pinole, El Sobrante, Hercules, and the surrounding cities. Only folks within a 40-minute morning commute of Richmond, CA will be considered.
