This position is eligible for a $6,000 retention bonus ($2,500 paid after 6 months of service with the remainder paid after 12 months of service)
Salary Range
Clinical TraineeBase Salary: $58,256.71 - $67,455.14/annually
Therapist - Fully Licensed Base Salary: $66,752.48 - $77,292.35/annually
The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Canvas Health's mental health and substance use disorder providers, clinicians, and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.
Position Summary
This school-based therapist position will serve the Justice Allen Page Elementary school K-5, level 3 special education classroom with in School District 622. This position is school based but also may require services to be delivered within the home or community environments of the children. Knowledge of child development, family systems and working within an education setting as well as expertise in providing individual, family and group therapy and assessment is necessary to the position. Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with Severe Emotional Disturbance is preferred. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients. An active driver's license and vehicle insurance per Canvas Health policy is required. Use of a cell phone is required for this position. This position requires working closely and being sensitive to relationships with local schools, County Social Services, and other mental health providers within the community.

Schedule
Primarily during school hours with flexibility required to ensure access to therapy for all students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling
- Possess or currently pursuing an LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC licensure.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development and community resources and school systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED.
- Experience with students and families of color, understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
