Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Clearance Officer, preferably an attorney, to join our team in either Brooklyn or Lakewood. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing title issues and ensuring smooth real estate transactions. This role offers a competitive salary with potential earnings between $150k-$175k, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and clear title issues to ensure marketable titles.
• Collaborate with title examiners, underwriters, and legal professionals.
• Prepare and review necessary legal documents.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Familiarity with the TIRSA Rate Manual: Expertise in applying and understanding title insurance rates and related calculations.
• Covenant, Restriction, and Easement Review: Ability to assess and determine appropriate endorsement coverage for various property restrictions.
• Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Trust Agreement Analysis: Experience in reviewing complex legal documents, including foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings, surrogate filings, trust agreements, and payoffs.
• Entity Documentation Review: Proficiency in examining corporate entity documents, organizational charts, and related materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Legal Descriptions and Survey Analysis: Ability to draft precise legal descriptions and analyze survey readings for potential discrepancies or issues.
• Knowledge of Transfer Tax Issues: Familiarity with real estate transfer tax laws and regulations to ensure proper handling during transactions.
