About the Job
Company Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated Clerical Specialist / Customer Service professional to support the Clerks’ Office and Records Rooms across various divisions, including Civil/Family Domestic, Criminal, and Family/Juvenile. This role involves performing essential clerical functions and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced legal environment.
Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have at least 3 years of experience in clerical and customer service roles, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
· Performs highly responsible and difficult clerical assignments (e.g., memos, letters, data entry of court case information, vital statistic documents and spreadsheets, etc.)
· Assists customers by processing requests by mail, phone, and in person
· Entry of court case information into the court's case system, Odyssey.
· Performs Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Necessary Attributes
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 3 years of clerical and customer service experience, with strong multitasking skills, file maintenance abilities, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the legal arena and the ability to perform at a high level with minimum supervision
- The ability to meet required deadlines
- Proficiency in learning and navigating new software systems efficiently.
