Clerk/Cashier Patient Accounts - Norman Regional Health System

Patient Financial Services department plays a crucial role in the financial health of the Norman Regional Health System.  We are responsible for the proper processing of all billable services to insurance companies on a daily basis. Accurate billing and collections is also a vital key to our success for our patient's satisfaction.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated customer service representative for our Cashier’s office.

Candidates must have good communication, computer, and time management skills. Be detailed-oriented, a team player, and possess professional etiquette.

• You will be responsible for assisting patients, attorneys, or vendors in person or over the phone with their-
  • payments
  • questions
  • or any issues in regards to their accounts for the hospital or clinics.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Customer service
• Experience and knowledge of collection of accounts for health-care service providers (hospital, urgent care clinics, and/or physicians offices) preferred. 
• Experience in ECW and Meditech programs preferred

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Typing 55 WPH and Ten Key 8000 KPH
• Microsoft Office programs
• multiple line phone

Compensation/Benefits

• $13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
