Position Summary:
Serves as a key member of the Commercial Client’s team while also providing support for Commercial Bankers. This position serves as the primary service representative for identified Commercial Banking Clients. Coordinate Company-wide initiatives, procedures and communications, where approved and applicable to the Client Services team. This position will also be available as a subject matter expert to identify and support training initiatives for the Client Services team Company-wide.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the Commercial Banking Group and C.I.F. data to support and expand Banker Portfolios.
- Understands Commercial banking products and services in order to converse knowledgeably and professionally with clients and prospects.
- Maintains professional and consistent communication with clients in all written, telephone, and in-person contacts, taking the initiative to resolve clients’ requests.
- Serves as the Commercial Banking Clients main point of service, providing day to day servicing across all product lines. For complex servicing needs will continue to serve as the main point of contact while navigating Company-wide resources on behalf of the Commercial Client.
- Serves as the Company-wide subject matter expert provide support to direct managers for New Hire Training and job shadow participants; including but not limited to lending and documentation.
- Assists in the loan closing process. This includes working with the Banker on all pre-closing due diligence items, ordering loan documents and at all times reviewing documents for accuracy.
- Expertise in large or more complex loan deals to support the Bankers and Client Service Teams Company-wide as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinates overdraft decisions and contacts customers that are overdrawn each morning for all commercial accounts serviced by assigned Bankers.
- Reviews and follow-up on clients’ past due loan accounts.
- Works in conjunction with Operations to ensure client’s accounts and requests are processed timely and accurately. Handle payments and advances for customers in person, by fax, and by phone.
- Follows all approved procedures and practices and is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Leads and participates with the Client Services Group to implement actions to improve customer service and the Commercial Banking Groups’ efficiency, effectiveness, and continuity.
- Coordinates company-wide communications and implementation of new initiatives, procedures, etc. as approved and appropriate with the Client Services teams and Commercial teams.
- Participates in community activities to increase bank visibility and undertake special projects and/or assignments relating to the group and the bank.
- Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering to assist management in monitoring for suspicious activity, money laundering, or other illegal customer activity.

Accurate processing and documentation of new accounts, processing of customer transactions and maintenance per approved procedures.
Requests and monitoring of initial documents completed within 48 hours.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required with Bachelor degree preferred. 7-10 years in a commercial banking client services role or equivalent or 3 plus years in a direct or SME role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. History of demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment. Possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance.

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines.
