Candidate will be responsible for the direction of multiple, large or complex Training projects in support of DoD clients. Responsibilities include managing relationships with clients and frequent / direct contact with the most managers and executives to provide cybersecurity technical expertise and project direction. Ensure accomplishment of joint training, security cooperation and information management systems support objectives by leading teams and activities to assess performance, recommend enhancements, and promote efficiencies. Provide support and advice to stakeholders on how to enhance the delivery of IT services. Develop plans and project tools to develop operationally relevant procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management to foster efficiencies in government business processes and reporting methodologies. Analyze process workflow, identify information system requirements, and implement improved processes and procedures to accomplish operations and the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
+ Provides regional climate expertise to the command.
+ Assists the commander's understanding, visualization, and description of the climatic impacts as it pertains to his Title 10 Service responsibilities for the training and readiness of SOF.
+ Integrates climate threat assessments to enhance climate-informed decision-making.
+ Integrates adaptative concepts into existing exercises to adjust current training programs to support and equip SOF to operate effectively in all anticipated climatic conditions.
+ Develops predictive modeling capabilities to continuously monitor and assess relevant environmental conditions during operations and training.
+ Analyzes existing training programs and equipment to develop the ability of SOF to operate in extreme climate conditions.
+ Provide SOF unique inputs using new sensing and data analytics to update capabilities and understanding of military operational needs in future climates, and potential, unforeseen scenarios.
+ Outcomes from these efforts will create a data-driven, shared understanding of the operational environment to guide climate-informed performance management and resource allocation decisions.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant area (climatology/meteorology studies, education, training and operations research, analytics, et.al.), or the combination of specialized training, education, and experience (including military service) equivalent to a degree and required years of experience may be acceptable.
+ Active TS with SCI Eligibility.
+ Recent relevant military experience supporting position requirements.
+ High degree of understanding a staff officer role with HQ USSOCOM, a Service HQ, or a CCMD HQ (4-Star military HQ).
+ Understanding and knowledge of the missions, core activities, roles, and functions of USSOCOM and its Components and Sub-unified Commands.
+ Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communications.
+ Possess knowledge in strategic-level planning (e.g., operational design, JOPP, campaigning, and contingency plan development, etc.).
+ Has familiarity with using the following systems and tools: JTIMS, DRRS, JLLIS, and MS Office Suite.
