Job Description: | The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida is actively recruiting to fill one position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate/or full Professor. This position is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, non-tenure track position with primary assignments at UF-Health Shands, Gainesville. Clinical responsibilities include patient care (including neuroimaging interpretation as well as image guided procedures in adult and pediatric patients), multidisciplinary conferences in pediatric/NICU neuroradiology, neurosurgery, head and neck, seizure, and stroke; as well as teaching of housestaff and medical students. Our practice incudes the University of Florida Children’s Hospital which provides a full range of tertiary care pediatric services and subspecialties. The University of Florida is listed by US N&WR in the top ten of state universities in the US and offers a full array of undergraduate, graduate, and post doc training in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and many subspecialized research areas in the Basic Sciences. The Department of Radiology is also active in research & development as well as practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI), in line with the University of Florida’s comprehensive long-term AI initiative with state-of-the-art infrastructure including a supercomputer. Gainesville is a comfortable midsized university town with a full-service airport, excellent restaurants and nightlife, and convenient access to coastal and other Florida attractions. |
Expected Salary: | Salary range is $380,000 - $450,000. |
Minimum Requirements: | Minimum requirements include an M.D or equivalent degree with completion of an ACGME accredited neuroradiology fellowship. Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible in Radiology and must obtain a Medical license in the State of Florida prior to employment. Neuroradiology CAQ certified/eligible is required. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Expertise in Head and Neck radiology as well as advanced MR imaging, including DTI and fMRI, is preferred but not required. |
