Summary
Under the direction of the Clinical Integration & Value Based Outcomes Supervisor, responsible for the research and management of the Clinically Integrated Network quality measures of over 50 specialties, including, but not limited to the creation and execution/development of new measures along with continued management of updating existing measures. Requires a high degree of collaboration among varying departments within Parkview Health as well as Independent Physician groups. Requires exceptional efficiency, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines. Communicates effectively, facilitates meetings, and promotes decision-making in an effort for continued collaboration in quality improvement. Broadly, responsible for managing the quality measure process for the Clinically Integrated Network team and executing applicable portions of the process. Responsible for collaborating with each line of business to accurately define measure specifications in which require to be clearly and concisely reviewed with the appropriate team members for automation. Provides ongoing education surrounding current and future measures to team members. Submits all measure build changes timely. Maintains clear communication throughout the process through documentation and continuously reviews the process for continued enhancements and efficiencies.
Education
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Licensure/Certification
Training in Six Sigma or Lean; Certification preferred. Current state license as a RN preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP), or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience with successfully managing complex projects. Must have training/knowledge in regulatory requirements/standards. Strong medical background and experience in a clinical setting.
Preferred: Quality assurance, Epic EMR, and/or inpatient experience preferred. Strong background in data analysis with ICD-10 coding, and CPT coding.
Other Qualifications
Strong informal leadership skills (influencing change in others), facilitation, interpersonal, project coordination, written/verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills. Must demonstrate expertise and proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent analytical, verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to appropriately communicate to a diverse set of audiences including, but not limited to clinical support staff, physicians, operations, leadership, etc. Demonstrated skill and or experience in performance improvement processes. Strong knowledge of relationships and interdependencies between quality measures and the impact to various departments across the system as well as providing increased value in healthcare. Must demonstrate excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal, critical thinking skills. Must be a self-starter along with the ability to manage workload and prioritize appropriately.
