Overview:
- Granger Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced Clinic Lead for a busy medical practice. Must have experience with complex medical procedures, EMR (eCW preferred), surgery scheduling, prior authorizations and training and leading MA's and front desk employees.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and positive patient environment
- Responsible for ensuring the daily operations run smoothly, including but not limited to, appropriate supplies and supply levels, appropriate staffing numbers and staffing roles to support the clinic daily, management of staffing hours, accountability for overtime, and environmental quality items such as correct and appropriate biohazard disposal and equipment sterilization
- Responsible for working with the Site Manger and/or Practice Manager leadership to coordinate schedules for leadership to conduct team meetings
- Remain open to input and coaching from the Site Manager and/or Practice Manager, physicians, providers, and support team to ensure daily operations are effective
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Work with site support team members to identify improvement opportunities for patient throughput and communicate with Site Manager and/or Practice Manager to discuss and implement solutions to address opportunities
- Communicate to Site Manager and/or Practice Manager when possible corrective actions are needed for the site and team members, to ensure effective daily operations and efficient patient throughput
- Communicate effectively with Site Manager and/or Practice Manager, as needed, to ensure leadership is aware of pertinent clinic operations that may affect operational and/or organizations goals
- Ensure adequate patient throughput to meet physician and provider productivity goals and offer solutions as necessary
- Promote and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to by support team
- Ensure daily operations support Granger patient satisfaction goals
- Ensure daily operation meet compliance and risk standards as they pertain to cleanliness, hazards, and employee and patient safety
- Manage daily operational clinic functions to ensure that staff scheduling and supplies are adequate and that communication, compliance, risk, and environmental care needs are met as required and necessary for employee and patient safety
- Provide basic EMR support for clinic team members, including but not limited to physicians, advance practice professionals (Pas and NPs), and clinical support team members
- Appropriately handle HR, Risk, and Compliance issues, which may include emergent, clinic-level, handling of the matter at time of incident and will include timely notification and documentation of the incident to the correct Granger Medical Clinic department leadership
- Engage in, and meet, Granger Medical Clinic patient population health goals and initiatives
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, BA preferred and a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Required lifting up to 10lbs
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
