Position Summary The Salvation Army Northern Division Rochester Good Samaritan Dental and Medical Clinic provides medical services to those ineligible for health insurance and emergent treatment for uninsured or under-insured patients needing tooth extractions. The Salvation Army is "doing the most good" by providing holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. Services include short and long-term case management; food, clothing, utility, rent, and housing support; pastoral care, and connections to community partners. The Clinic Nurse (RN) delivers patient care, educates on health management, coordinates care plans, maintains records, and schedules appointments. The Nurse also supervises clinic operations when needed and assists with training. $31.00 - $32.93/hour, 20 hours/week 20 NE First Ave, Rochester, MN 55906 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Team Collaboration (35%): Serve as an on-site supervisor in the Clinic Coordinator's absence and assist with staff and volunteer training. Care Coordination (30%) - Collaborate with volunteer healthcare providers to develop and manage patient care plans, including coordinating referrals and follow-up care. Patient Care (10%) - Perform patient assessments, collect medical histories, administer medications, and assist with treatments and procedures. Clinic Operations (10%) - Maintain accurate patient records, schedule and send appointment reminders, and ensure examination rooms and equipment are prepared. Health Education (5%) - Educate patients on managing conditions, medication use, and preventative care. Education and Experience Active RN license in Minnesota. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification. Experience in clinical or community health settings. Must pass background checks. Competencies Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty, and diligence. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment. Working Conditions Requires a variety of work including standing, walking, sitting, bending, lifting, twisting, and typing. Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able to communicate clearly with colleagues and patients. Hours are primarily weekday evenings. Must be able to lift 35 pounds occasionally. Supervisory Responsibilities Provide training and supervision to volunteers. Serve as an on-site supervisor in the absence of the Medical Clinic Coordinator. Driving/Travel Requirements None.
