Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of clinics including the review of staffing needs and supervision and training of clinical staff
- Providing leadership and direction of medical care given in the clinic
- Acting as a liaison between providers, clinic staff, and other departments
- Implementing new departmental processes and procedures to improve patient care and efficiencies in the clinic; partnering with clinic lead and clinic manager on setting and achieving department-specific goals
- Coordinating staff schedules and time-off requests and scheduling staff in accordance with patient volume; functions as a working supervisor, assisting in clinics at times of high patient volume when needed
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all departmental time entry records
- Assisting clinical staff with complex or sensitive issues that may arise and resolving patient satisfaction concerns when needed
- Reviewing staff performance and ensuring timely completion of performance evaluations
- Partnering with HR to manage employee performance issues; coaching and correcting staff demonstrating performance issues
- Participating in and supporting decisions made by management, communicating these decisions to staff, and ensuring compliance
- Participating in the interview and hiring process for clinical staff; ensuring effective training of new clinical staff and reviewing training progress
- Responsible for ongoing training and development of clinical staff
- Scheduling and leading departmental staff meetings
- Ensuring clinical staff comply with licensure and certification requirements
- Tracking clinic inventory and ordering clinic supplies
- Visits each clinic site once a month
- Maintain patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and the demands of daily operations
- Proven ability to critically think and make clinical decisions based on verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Proven ability to build relationships with and influence all levels within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and build effective teams
- Knowledge of personal computer applications including Excel and Word; super-user of electronic health record
- Ability to travel to all ORA locations
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing License or Medical Assistant Certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Health or Business Administration preferred
Experience:
- Five years of medical office experience required
- Three years of medical office management or similar management experience required
