About the Job
Maximus is currently hiring for a Clinic Support Specialist to join the Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This position will support our US - Western Region Clinics. This is a hybrid position that requires you to work both onsite in a Western clinic as well as remotely. The Clinic Support Specialist is responsible for supporting Clinic Intake Specialists (CIS) and Sr. Clinic Intake Specialists in the Western region. Additionally, they will cover clinics as needed and perform both ongoing and new hire trainings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all job functions in compliance with HIPAA policies.
- Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.
- Perform clinic intake duties in brick and mortar offices and per diems as needed.
- Provide guidance to Clinic Intake Specialists (CIS) and Senior Intakes (SI) regarding clinic procedure and daily activities.
- Provide guidance to CIS and SI regarding daily assignments.
- Assist Supervisor in the coordination of staff/office schedules and duties.
- Recognize and communicate learning and performance opportunities for CIS and SI to the Supervisor and RCM.
- Provide observational feedback to Supervisor and RCM to assist in evaluating the success of implemented training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4-6 years of related experience.
- Minimum 1 year VES Clinic experience required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
- Residence in the Western region of the US preferred
- Must be willing and able to work onsite in our clinics in the Western Region
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation to drive to other locations in the Western region of the US preferred
- Ability to frequently travel to clinics in the Western region by car or plane required
- Ability to work a shift between 8:00am-4:00pm PT required
- Ability to work and be on call on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) required

- Preferred Windows or Mac (no Chromebooks)
- OS for Windows - Windows 10 or newer
- OS for Mac - Big Sur (11.0.1+); Catalina (10.15); M acOS (up to 12.5) or newer
- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
- USB plug and play wired headset with a microphone and noise suppression
- Private work area and adequate power source
- A second monitor is highly recommended for most positions
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
